Sarah Chen
Sarah Chen is a passionate AI researcher with over 15 years of experience in machine learning and industrial automation. She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from MIT and has published over 50 papers on deep learning applications in manufacturing.
Before joining Vandelay Industrial AI, Sarah worked at several leading tech companies and research institutions, including Google DeepMind, IBM Research, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Her work focuses on developing advanced neural networks that can understand and predict industrial processes with unprecedented accuracy.
At Vandelay, Sarah leads the core AI research team and is responsible for developing the proprietary algorithms that power our chemical import/export intelligence platform. She’s particularly proud of the team’s work on smart chemical recognition, which uses computer vision and natural language processing to automatically identify and classify chemicals.
When she’s not immersed in code and research, Sarah enjoys exploring California’s hiking trails, capturing stunning landscape photographs, and organizing weekly board game nights with friends and family.
